I have been dating the same gentleman for 30 years. We have had the good fortune to travel all over the world. Now that I am retired I volunteer at several agency that are child related.I am doing all the things I could not do when I was working. I love the arts,gardening,cooking,travel. Excellent Mah Jongg player also!Most important is the fine son I raised.He and his wife live in the city. My life is good. What are your best and worst memories of your days at Southwest?:My very best memory was graduation day!Cherry/Rubard pie, and the lunch ladies hairnets!Family living.Steve Wienberg and I had to do a budget.IT WORKED!I thought so much of Miss Varney--I repeated Junior English! Thanks to David Damon I made a passing grade,he let me look over his shoulder, or I would still be taking English!!Making my friends for life was a big priority.Roz Eisman,Phyllis Oliver,Ruthann Fried. Occupation:retured Marital Status:Widowed Number of Children:2 Number of Grandchildren:1 Number of Marriages:1 What have you been doing since June '62 Tell us everything:I went to college and graduated with at B.S. in Chemistry and became a Certified Medical Technologist and worked at Menorah Medical Center for several years.

Married Stuart Powell (now deceased) for 46 years, and had 2 daughters, Wende and Julie. Went on to Grad. School and got a cerification as an addictions counselor. Worked in several cities. I have lived in Phoenix, Az. Cincinnati, OH., Chicago, Il., Pittsburgh, Pa., and Charlotte, NC. I have also gone to graduate school, non degree seeking, for ceramics and have done pottery for 18 years. I enjoyed the pottery community in several cities and was very active in the guilds.

I am now learning, and I use the term loosely, how to do oil glazed acrylic paintings. It is very challenging but easier on the body. I currently live with my oldest daughter, a single mother, and my precious and only granddaughter: Maggie, in Charlotte NC. What are your best and worst memories of your days at Southwest?:I really loved the social aspects of the school, and I had a lot of fun in my sorority: STP.
