Married 2 3 1 BA Baker University, MS Ft. Hays State. Taught pre-school through college (yikes!). My husband was with Dept. of Defense, so we moved frequently. Spent time in MO. VA, OK, SC and IL, along with on overseas assignment in Korea. My husband retired in 2003 and we left Chicago for sunny South Carolina. We travel, both nationally and internationally, visit kids, keep grandkids, get lots of beach time and manage, once in a while, to dust and vacuum. Cannot imagine a better life! Great school; wonderful friends.

retired Married 2 1 1 Those 50 years have just raced by. After reviewing the profile for our 40th,the basic information has just expanded these last 10 years. Dennis and I just celebrated our 45th anniversary., spending the week near our daughter in San Diego. Yes,we\\\\\\\'ve done some serious traveling these last 10 years. by far, some of the favorite spots have been New Zealand, Victoria,bC, and Ephesus,Turkey. This year we finally visited our 50th and final state, North Dakota. Since the 40th, we have lost an old friend Beverly Bair Ramsey in 2003. To keep \\\\\\\"busy\\\\\\\" in retirement, I walk 3-5 miles a day and participate in local 5K walks 2-3 times a year. Our first grand-child lives in Olathe--grandma and grandpasee her all day most Tuesdays. Volunteer activities also keep us on the go. I have mentored a young lady with YouthFriends in KC,Mo., and Raytown fo 8 years. In addition I coordinate a tutoring group of \\\\\\\"seniors\\\\\\\" at Noble Prentis Elementary in KC,Ks. There are also several activities at St. Michael\\\\\\\'s Episcopal to fill the calendar. A high spot of 2012 was KU at the Sweet 16 in St. Louis. What a blast!Through this reunion and/or on-line I hope to see some of our Bryant School alums. Of course,it\\\\\\\'s not quite the same now that the school has been closed and is up for sale. We are both strong supporters of public education throughout the Greater KC area. These youngsters are our future. for those who have not been back to KC for a while, here are some sites to see: The Bloch Building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum; the World War I Museum at the Liberty Memorial; the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts; as well as the Truman Library and Historic District. IOf course Winstead\\\\\\\'s is still on the Plaza and good BarBQue is everywhere. The best of Southwest are the memories and the best friends for life. Of course we should remember our excellent teachers such as Mr. Stark,Mr. Gustafson, and Miss Beck. The only negative from those years was being the last of my friends to get by driver\\\\\\\'s license.
