Now
Retired Married 2 3 1 After I graduated, I went to UMKC, where I was offered a vocal scholarship to the Conservatory of Music. But instead,I got a BA in Elementary Education.
I joined Chi Omega Sorority, and I had a lot of opportunities to sing in productions of one kind or another.
I taught 2nd grade in an inner-city school after graduation.
I married my best friend from college, Sam Alpert, in 1968, and we will celebrate our 44th anniversary in July
I have taught school, been in sales, done volunteer work with blind children, and helped my mom run a business after my dad\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s death.
I am now quite involved with my grandchildren, and I oversee my mom\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s affairs, since she was diagnosed with Alzheimer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s in 2006.
Here is a recent picture of me with my grandchildren; the light of my life.
Life has its ups and downs, but I have been truly blessed with a loving and devoted husband, 2 wonderful sons, and 3 delightful grandchildren. Life is good.

Worst memory: On the first day of class, (8th grade) I couldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t figure out where my first class was and stupidly asked a CHEERLEADER where room 310 was. She said, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s on the third floor, LITTLE GIRL\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".
My mom convinced me to go back to school the next day, when I wanted to stay home for the rest of my life.
My best memory was any time I could sing in a vocal group, in an assembly, or an operetta.
I was very proud of having graduated from SW which was at the time, one of the top 10 high schools in the United States. It prepared me for my future;
great teachers, great friends, great memories!

Retired elementary school teacher Married 2 4 One Graduated from the University of Missouri in 1966. I have taught school in Missouri, New Jersey, New York, and Iowa. I retired in 2002 and spent the next ten years substitute teaching. Needless to say I love working with children. Since retirement I have gone to Haiti numerous times and have worked there with special needs children, a clean water project, and getting better housing for the Haitians. We moved to Brevard, NC in 2012 and to Wakefield RI in 2017. My best memories were the terrific teachers, friends, working in Mr. Greenstreet's office, and wearing that black sweater with an Indian on it EVERY Friday night! 2022-09-03 13:36:51
